Application for Grant Funding
The Lancaster Junior Women’s Club is proud to announce that they have successfully raised money to distribute grants through the Adopt-A-Teacher Fund, to Lancaster and Fairfield County School Teachers teaching grades K-6th.
Our Education Department would like to help these teachers with funding a special project that is not included in their normal budget, or provide funding to purchase books, supplies and/or other necessities that the budget just doesn’t allow. We have $5,000 this year to divide among teachers with the most deserving projects/needs in Fairfield County; no amount is too small. Each teacher’s request should be limited to $250 or less.
To apply for this funding, please go to our website, www.lancasterjrwomen.com , and complete the application by no later than November 1, 2010. We will disburse the money in December 2010, and you may pursue your project during the remainder of the school year or the beginning of next school year. If you are chosen as a recipient, you may be invited to tell us about your special project or the supplies that you purchased at a future LJWC meeting. If you have any question regarding this application please call Melissa Treece @ (740) 687-9838 or contact us via our website.
